We were were fresh off the train and didn't know where to go. This place took us in, luggage and all, stayed open later than their regular hours, and fed us with great food, like we were family. The artwork on the walls was yet another plus. Don't miss their little entry door, it leads to magic!

It is hard to know where the local spots are in Florence but luckily I had a friend recommend this one. It was so authentic. The food was great and the owner was wonderful.

Excellent and very authentic Tuscan trattoria, pleasantly old-fashioned and run by a friendly family. Amazing value for money too, such a nice surprise in a very expensive, crowded city full of tourist nightmares. Try pici with guanciale and pecorino, penne in a rabbit ragu, and the bistecca. Just lovely.
