The food was actually very good. We had the seafood starter and two pasta dishes. Major red flag: Just be aware that(at least for us) when it was time to pay the lady server insisted charging us in $USD which had a higher exchange rate than our US Bank's conversion rate and actually chose $USD for us instead of handing the card reader to us to choose payment method whether in Euro or USD. We had a brief disagreement but she insisted that since we are tourists she was required to charge in $USD to cover her expenses. Future reference for all you guys wishing to visit this restaurant. Sometimes we are not even aware and after a long and pleasant dinner we just pay and leave. But please look at your credit card receipt and at the bottom there is an acknowledgment statement stating that you acknowledged you were given a choice (which we were not) for currencies for payment. Do NOT let them insist on choosing payment method in $USD for you. Make that choice for yourself.
We had a wonderful experience at Ristorante Santa Felicita Pontevecchio. The Aperol Spritz was perfectly made, and the pizza was absolutely delicious—authentic Italian pizza with fresh ingredients and a great crispy crust. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the location is perfect if you're visiting Ponte Vecchio. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommended if you're looking for a genuine Italian meal in Florence. We would definitely come back!
Giovani and team are outstanding! Everything we had here was delicious. We had most of the apps (we ate here twice in our three day stay) and a lot of the main dishes. The pizzas were also excellent. At one point there was a thunderstorm threatening our outdoor meal. They got our table covered with a massive umbrella and kept on going. It was a great time.
This restaurant is a gem, just a few steps outside of the packed Ponte Vecchio Bridge and in a very small open area in front of a church with a couple of other restaurants. It is very nice and quiet and beautiful with plenty of outdoor seating and a very nice interior too. I had the Penne Arribiate and the Amathricana and both were great. It was so nice I went twice. The servers are very attentive and I love that the wines by the glass come slightly chilled.
Solid decent quick well presented good value for money in an excellent location which managed to stay cool in some crazy hot temperatures of summer.
