You can chose your beef cut and they will cook it the term you like. Staff was great, big selection of wines. Loved it. And area around is beautiful for a walk and see the water and cliffs

Delicious food, steak was amazing! I’m allergique to shellfish so this place has none. Reservation is recommended as it’s pretty busy.

You're absolutely right: at Leo's Braci d'Autore we focus entirely on cottura sulla brace and heritage beef from razze autoctone raised on the masserie of Valle d'Itria, which is why shellfish isn't on our menu at all (a real relief for guests with allergies). Reservations are definitely recommended since our braceria in Polignano a Mare fills up quickly, especially in season. Every cut comes from our family butchery, sette generazioni dal 1854. Food was all very tasty, not only was the steak delicious but the pasta dishes were also sublime. I would recommend the cannoli dessert also which was not too sweet and a nice size. They do try upsell a lot (which is fair) they tried to persuade us to spend and extra 15 euro on a mozzarella starter and a 20 euro gls of wine each, so just be wary. Other than that it was a great meal!

About the wine, allow us one small correction: the glass we normally propose to our guests costs 10 €, not 20, and it is a serious Franciacorta we have chosen with real care and are genuinely proud to pour. That is exactly why our team suggests it. We are not robots that just bring the menu and take orders, we are people who love this job and who like to share what we have selected for our tables. Some guests are curious and try, others prefer to stay with their choice, and both are always welcome. Absolutely incredible! We shared a 1.4kg Steak between 3 of us and it was amazing. The restaurant is clean and stylish and the staff can’t do enough for you. The food itself is so delicious and I would highly recommend!
