This restaurant is amazing. From the moment we walked in, the boss/manager was warm and inviting. We asked to look at a menu and he helped show us the English version online when we were struggling with the Italian. When we sat down, the servers were patient with our questions and helped us through the menu.
The appetizers were amazing. I would recommend the beef carpaccio.The pasta was also amazing. The tonnarello alla amatriciana was the best between that and the carbonara (the two we tried in the two pasta combo). The fillet with mushroom was also tasty.
At the end of the night, we had a slight mishap with the language barrier. We had asked for two plates to share the two pasta combo, but the servers mistakenly thought we meant two orders of the pasta plate. We mentioned this with the boss and he graciously gave us a discount and understood what had happened. The service and the owner made our experience excellent.

Restaurant was pretty crawded, which we thought was a good sign. It was pretty messy service - people that came after us were served much faster than us. They were not happy that we were not speaking Italian. Food seemed to be ok, but some of us were having diarrhea 2 hrs later - maybe it was a coincident. Thus, I am leaving 3 stars.
