Reasonable prices and nice outdoor seating on a quiet street. Food was very yummy - we had the amarone risotto and mushroom tagliatelle. The downsides: the sorbet came half-melted, the inexperienced servers had a couple bumps and spills, and we never got a bread basket despite the €2.5 cover charge. Overall, a good option near the Arena before the opera!

Very nice place, with excellent food and cocktails. Most important : kind and smiling personell with a personal touch and attention. Nearby the Arena but more quiet to eat. And still open after visiting the Arena opera for a drink. Thanks.

We came here for dinner based on the good reviews, but we’re greatly disappointed. We ordered a bruschetta and starter salad and a house wine for starters. The bruschetta was literally pizza on the toast; not like any bruschetta I’ve ever seen- and tasted as bad as it looked. The salad was iceberg, lettuce with wedge tomatoes with no flavor or dressing. I had to find someone to bring out vinegar and pepper. The house wine was the only bad glass of wine I’ve had in Italy. We were not optimistic about the main course. The servers did not put in our orders yet so we managed to cancel those, pay for what we had and left. It seemed like nobody was in charge and the kitchen had no idea what they were doing. They had the audacity to still charge us for the starters and service. Still, we were happy to cut our loss and have a fine dinner somewhere else. There is no shortage of better options.

Gentile Andy, accettiamo sempre con piacere le critiche costruttive, perché rappresentano un'opportunità di crescita. Tuttavia, riteniamo altrettanto importante che una recensione racconti i fatti in modo completo ed equilibrato.
La sera della sua visita il ristorante era praticamente al completo, con circa 70 coperti, e nonostante ciò il servizio si è svolto regolarmente. La bruschetta che avete ordinato è esattamente quella descritta nel nostro menù ed è come viene servita in tutta Italia: pane tostato con pomodoro, mozzarella e origano. È la stessa che compare nelle fotografie presenti sul nostro sito, sui nostri canali social e su Google. Semplicemente, non ha incontrato il vostro gusto personale.
Per quanto riguarda l'insalata, olio e sale sono sempre presenti su ogni tavolo, siamo stati noi a chiedervi se gradivate pepe e aceto balsamico e ve li abbiamo portati immediatamente. Inoltre, notando che non avevate ancora iniziato a mangiare, il nostro staff si è avvicinato più volte per sincerarsi che fosse tutto di vostro gradimento e per capire se ci fosse qualche problema.
Quello che ci lascia sinceramente perplessi è che la recensione esprima un giudizio così severo sull'intera cucina e sull'organizzazione del ristorante dopo aver assaggiato esclusivamente due antipasti e un calice di vino della casa. I piatti principali che avevate ordinato sono stati annullati prima ancora di essere preparati, quindi riteniamo difficile poter formulare un giudizio complessivo sul nostro menù e sul lavoro della nostra cucina.
Comprendiamo perfettamente che alcuni piatti possano non incontrare il gusto di tutti: il gusto è soggettivo e lo rispettiamo. Ciò che riteniamo meno corretto è trasformare una preferenza personale in una valutazione che mette in discussione la professionalità di una brigata che ogni giorno serve centinaia di clienti e che riceve, nella grande maggioranza dei casi, apprezzamenti proprio per la qualità della cucina e del servizio.
Continueremo, come abbiamo sempre fatto, ad ascoltare ogni osservazione costruttiva con rispetto e a lavorare con passione per offrire ai nostri ospiti la migliore esperienza possibile.

We visited Locanda the first time with two couples this month. Overall, this was a very good experience. Service was good, food and drinks as expected, very nice setting. We will return!

We chose this restaurant because of its excellent 4.7 rating and its central location in Verona. The setting was beautiful, comfortable, and we were warmly welcomed with a lovely table.
The starter was excellent, but unfortunately the overall experience changed significantly afterwards. The service became noticeably distant, we had to ask twice for forgotten drinks, and one main course was served very rare instead of the requested Rose/medium - not red - fixed by making it well-done. These issues could easily have been resolved and overlooked, but instead we felt increasingly overlooked by the staff.
The main courses were acceptable, although the pizzas were below what we would normally expect by Italian standards. They were presented beautifully but, in our opinion, had an excessively thick layer of mozzarella and a rather bland crust.
The biggest disappointment was the service after the main course. After making it clear that we wished to order dessert and coffee, other tables were attended to before us, even though they had not requested service ahead of us. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling ignored. We therefore decided to skip dessert and simply ask for the bill.
To the restaurant’s credit, when we explained that we were disappointed with the overall experience, the manager decided not to charge us. This gesture was appreciated, although we would much rather have enjoyed the friendly and attentive service that the restaurant’s reputation had led us to expect.
Overall, the restaurant offers a beautiful setting and some well-prepared dishes, particularly the starters. Unfortunately, the inconsistent service overshadowed the experience.
