This isn't a restaurant for tourists; if you're a snob, you might like it here. There are no menus in languages other than Italian. The staff is contemptuous. Generally, even if you're in a high-class establishment, you can communicate this with courtesy without the contempt in their eyes. So if you want normal portions and normal food, run while you can.

What a difference a new owner makes, a charming and welcoming gentleman. We had dinner here last evening while staying in Calico for a day enroute to Switzerland The food was terrific, the service was very friendly and helpful, good wines, nice atmosphere and a fabulous view right on Lake Como. The staff was attentive, but not overbering and very pleasant. Most importantly the FOOD, it was very good accross the board
Great dining immediately next to Lago di Como. The food is excellent (pasta and seafood), however, the steak was a bit dry and overcooked. This could be a one off, nonetheless, the whole experience was good and definitely worth it.
