My most memorable meal in Puglia/Basilicata trip.
We ordered the starter with cold cuts, fresh ricotta and unbelievable creamy burrata accompanied with olives and typical Matera bread.
For drinks we ordered the half a litre house wine for 5€.
Main dishes were orecchiette al tegamino (what a dream!!!!) and pasta with sausage, tomatoes and dried chili flakes served with cacciorotta cheese, also a 10/10 pasta.
The service was amazing, handled by “old school” Italians.
After dinner you can go down and see their cave museum for free.
What a historic and memorable dinner.
We thank the manager for reserving us a table outside with a magnificent view of the city. We enjoyed our wedding anniversary there.,

Off the beaten track a little bit but worth finding. Food and service good, welcome air conditioning in main restaurant and great views from the terrace.
