This was, without question, the best seafood experience my husband and I have ever had!! Every dish was unbelievably fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor—you can taste the care, skill, and passion in every bite. From the first appetizer to the last forkful of our main courses, we were absolutely blown away.
And then came the frozen fruit dessert. It was simply to die for—a stunning combination of vibrant, natural flavors and beautiful presentation. Light yet indulgent, refreshing yet rich, it was the perfect ending to an already unforgettable meal. We haven’t stopped talking about it since.
This family business was warm, attentive, and genuinely, making us feel like cherished guests rather than just customers. The atmosphere was inviting and full of character, the kind of place you immediately want to return to and bring friends and family.
My husband and I honestly believe this restaurant is so exceptional that if it moved to Rome, it would be number one there in no time. If you love seafood and want a truly remarkable culinary experience in Italy, you must eat here!

Dear Sebastiaan,
Thank you so much for this incredible 5-star review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you and your husband had the best seafood dining experience ever with us at Hosteria Eucalipto here in Fiumicino.
Our team puts so much passion, care, and craftsmanship into every dish, from our fresh seafood starters to our main courses. Hearing that you were enchanted by every single bite truly makes all our hard work worthwhile. We are especially glad that our frozen fruit dessert left such a lasting impression—it is indeed one of our favorite ways to conclude a traditional Italian seafood meal!
As a family-run restaurant, our main goal is to make everyone feel like welcomed friends rather than just customers. Knowing that you felt that warmth and atmosphere means the world to us. Your compliment about us becoming the number one restaurant if we opened in Rome is a massive honor, but we love welcoming food lovers right here by the coast of Fiumicino!
We cannot wait to welcome you, your friends, and your family back to Hosteria Eucalipto the next time you are in Italy.
Warmest regards,
The Family & Team at Hosteria Eucalipto

Hostaria Eucalipto in Fiumicino is the kind of place that makes you say “wow, that was really good” and also “what exactly just happened to that tuna.”
We opened with the tuna tartar, which was incredible. Super fresh, clean flavor, seasoned like someone in the kitchen actually cares if you’re happy. Then we did their matured fish tasting which came three ways: tartar, sashimi, and carpaccio. All of that was excellent. Silky, rich, and it hits that perfect line between “this is refined seafood” and “I could eat six more plates of this and not be sorry.” If you come here and skip that part of the menu, that is a poor life decision.
Then we ordered the tuna Wellington.
Now, tuna Wellington sounds fun on paper. You’re thinking “beef Wellington, but make it coastal.” What showed up at the table, though, felt like the witness protection version of tuna. Overcooked, odd texture, and the pastry wasn’t helping. It wasn’t awful, it was just… weird. It’s the dish you order because you’re adventurous and then halfway through you start pretending you’re full so it doesn’t feel personal.
But the pasta absolutely saved the night. We had the seafood spaghetti and the linguine with shrimp and both were fantastic. Perfectly cooked pasta, great flavor, actual seafood you can taste, not just “essence of ocean waved over the pan.” This is the stuff you come to a coastal Italian town for. If you’re the type who judges a restaurant by its pasta, judge away, they nailed it.
Dessert was the fruitini. How do I describe fruitini. Imagine someone froze fruit, stuffed it, dressed it, sculpted it, and now it’s technically dessert. It’s a little weird, kind of playful, kind of “why is this cold,” but it’s also fun and worth trying at least once just to say you did. It’s not your classic tiramisu situation. It’s more “art attack with fruit.”
Service and vibe were solid, seafood game is strong, creativity is clearly happening in the kitchen, and when they hit, they really hit. When they miss, they miss in an interesting way, and honestly that’s still better than boring.
4 out of 5. I’d go back, order all the raw fish and the pasta, and respectfully pretend the tuna Wellington never happened.

The food and service was amazing. My mom ordered a drink and they actually didn’t have it but they accommodated to to experiment one that one it was close and she absolutely loved it.

A great lineup of options. Local catches, a super tasty lime ravioli, and the dessert options are incredible. Their Fruitini is my personal favorite. But the pistachio and olive oil dessert is also amazing.

The people and atmosphere were great, the food was good, but the desert was above expectations, some very flavorful and unique foods. Worth everything
