Quiet, cosy restaurant not far from San Marco plaza in quiet street. Food was exquisite as we expected and exactly the portions to keep my stomach filled but not overfilled so I can go out and explore Venice more. Nice selection of wines with good recommendation from the staff. I can definitely recommend this place.

Made a reservation, received a reminder for the reservation, showed up and the restaurant was completely shuttered. Not sure if they are closed for the season or forever, but there was no restaurant.
Hostaria Castello was one of our favorite dining experiences in Italy. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The biggest surprise was the Caprese salad, it looked stunning and was unlike any Caprese we’ve had before. It was incredibly fresh, creative, and full of flavor. Every course was excellent, and you could really tell how much care went into both the food and the presentation. The service was also warm and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Amazing experience. My wife got the Tagliatelle with pistachio pesto and scallops and I got the sea bass with curry and both were amazing (the sea bass is a must get). Finished with tiramisu which was also amazing. The restaurant vibe was great, service was amazing - everyone was so nice.

Excellent in every respect! One of the best risottos I’ve ever had. This was a special find with delicious, carefully prepared food and excellent service. Before coming here, we had been disappointed by restaurants in Venice, having stopped into too many tourist traps. This is the place to come.
