What an absolute gem! We were welcomed by a member of the team, whose name escapes me, she was from Ecuador- she was so friendly, professional and personable, we felt so comfortable from this moment onwards. We were very surprised with the room, it was spacious, quirky (had a motorbike at the end of the bed)! 5 stars all round!

This is a very nice place and I would recommend it if you need to be close to the university, but is also not bad for the city center (20 min walk). Part of the street is currently closed for works and according to people who live in Verona is not super safe to walk in the area alone (but I assume is the same everywhere nowadays). The reception is not open 24h so you need arrange check-in in advance, but they are really accomodating. The staff has been very nice, they sent me a message few days before to provide me with instructions..and also the following day to check if all was good. The place is super cool, every room has a different theme, and in the "bike"room there is a real Guzzi Bike inside..plus many items that recall a garage. Bed is really comfortable. There is a small desk if you need to work on your computer. The electricity plugs next to the bed only have one entrance so you need to choose between the bed lamp or your charger.. but there are other plugs around the room. There is no wardrobe but a hanger for clothes that I found super handy as I am not a fan of wardrobes. The bathroom is huge, with a very nice shower space. Just be careful as the shower is elevated and there is a huge tiled step between the shower and floor. They do not provide slippers so bring your own. The soap, shower gel and shampoo have a very nice fragrance. The room and bathroom were super clean at arrival. Please note I stayed two nights but they did not clean/made my room (this is fine with me but some people might expect cleaning service every morning). Toiletry, shower cup and toothbrush are available in the hall if you need. There is a shared kitchen very organised if you need to prepare or store food. There is a kettle with tea and coffee in the room (cerami cups are really nice!). A water dispenser with bottles and cups is provided in the hall. Please note they do not provide breakfast, but they have a convention with a bar nearby. The place is really clean, cool, convenient and I would certainly be back!!

Just back from 4 nights in Verona and stayed in Casa Babbuino. One word: FANTASTIC. The rooms are so clean and quirky, the cooking facilities are great and the outdoor space at the back of the property is a nice spot for relaxing or dining al fresco. However the best part about staying here was our host, Nicki. She was so helpful and was always available to answer any questions we had and to offer tips and advice which helped make our stay in Verona the best it could've been. If you're considering Casa Babbuino and still unsure about whether to stay here or not then my advice is go for it; you won't regret it! *****

We really loved this little hotel in Veronetta! It has such a lovely charm to it, with a wonderful little garden that we regretted not being able to spend much time in. We stayed in the Surf Room which was really spacious, with a lovely big bathroom (such a great change from teeny, tiny hotel bathrooms!) and shower. Casa Babbuino was also extremely accommodating with check in and check out times which was fantastic, as we arrived after a 4 am start and really appreciated being able to access our room a little earlier. They were also very accommodating about bags and being able to leave bags safely with them after check out so we could explore unencumbered. We were truly sad that we only had a night to spend here, and would 100% return (hopefully for longer!) for any future trips to Verona. An absolute gem of a hotel.

Everything was great. Highly recommend. This not a classic B&B as no in-house breakfast is offered but rather a nearby cafe with discounted breakfast option. Verona's old town is a tourist zoo (...for both good and silly reasons) but it does have charming back streets to decompress. We felt lucky to be able to spend the hottest part of a heat wave in our lovely central air conditioned room and then experience the coliseum for a very special late evening event. We also happened to be there during an organ music festival. So I'd say it's well worth to research the cultural events during your stay. Forget about that R&J balcony...
