EL CARNIZZERO 1971 is a grill restaurant that offers cuisine centered around grilled meats, with a style that draws on Italian tradition and some Argentine and South American influences. The setting is that of a specialized restaurant, where fire and quality preparation are at the heart of the experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, in a simple and informal setting suitable for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant stands out for its focus on grilling and for a gastronomic offering built around select meats, appetizers, and first courses. Among the most distinctive features are the grilled meats, the variety of the menu, and the selection of wines that perfectly complement the meal. The central location in the piazza contributes to a recognizable identity, linked to a direct, concrete restaurant experience focused on raw ingredients.

We had only one meal here but as we left it to the chef’s discretion, we sampled a feast’s worth of food. We were treated to a tasty selection of cheese and cured meats, perfectly al dente pasta, and a cut of steak that could have easily cost as much as the entire meal at a fancy steakhouse back home. And all of it was local, up to as local as the chef’s own garden. Don’t let the unassuming space deter you. This meal is so worth it.
My only regret is declining dessert. I’m sure it would have been delicious but alas, there was no possible way it would have fit into my stomach.
