This restaurant is a little gem. We were stuck in the area with time to kill between the closure of the Pompeii archeological park and the reopening of the Pompeii arena for a concert. We were hungry and a search found this. The food was simply gorgeous and the service was delightful - attentive without being over the top, pleasant and cheerful staff, and nothing was too much trouble. The food is very seafood biased with ultra fresh lobsters and crayfish in a tank together with a ‘catch of the day’, very appealing! In our case I only wish we had had a little longer and that our appetites hadn’t been quite so subdued by a day in the sun because the table behind us started with an exquisite seafood platter. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Located across from the ruins on the “main drag” in Pompeii this is a small restaurant with a few tables inside and out. The wine list is extensive and just about all Italian. The three of us shared two salads, a Caprese with amazing red and yellow tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. The other was the “vegan” salad….arugula, fennel, oranges, walnuts. Neither salad was dressed both fresh and delicious. The menu is NOT good for a vegetarian and I should have looked more closely. He had the spaghetti with vegetables which was just OK. Other dish was tagliatelle with fish, and I had the Zappa de pesce. I really do hate to sound like an American tourist but I need to. The dish was too authentic for my liking. Prawns with heads, whole small cooked fish….a creation but I (sorry) like the way I get it at home without my dinner looking up at me and without all the bones in the fish. The shellfish was wonderful as was the sauce and the bread. If we had it to do again we would go to a place with more pasta choices . The service and the bread were wonderful.

Wow! Yes, it is a wow experience! The premises are the most unpretentious yet chic and cozy place, not far from one of the gates to Pompeii’s archaeological site. The food is absolutely delicious: appetisers, entrees, mains, puddings are superb, prepared with excellent ingredients, with that tasteful delicacy that made Italian food famous worldwide. The wine list is short of nothing! It showcases the best of the area! Yet, the cherry on top is the service. Knowledgeable, passionate people who truly care to make patrons enjoy the experience at their restaurant. I’d go back again and again!
Delicious fish soup and pasta!
