As a wine lover, having done wine tastings in a few places in different countries, I really looked forward to this Elba experience. Beautiful website and booking online even possible - very good impression! We could taste one white, one rosé, one red wine. The server did not provide much information on the wines even though we were happy to be explained in Italian. He did not seem eager or knowledgeable. Wine was served in champagne-like glasses. Usually at wine tasting experiences we get to appreciate the local wine. Here we did not even consider buying a bottle. The apero board with cheeses, meats, honey and jam was delicious. 2 staff members sat right in front of us discussing work issues , one especially verbal about his/her discontentment - very unprofessional. If you really want to do proper wine tasting, I would not recommend here. Maybe we just had a bit of bad luck this time, since most reviews are really good. Recommendation to owner: server with a bit of passion for wine; provide real tastings, some options to compare wines, for example 3 different red wines etc...not just 3 glasses to drink. All 3 served at the same time, warming up on the table. Tasteful light back ground music for an atmosphere consistent with the beautiful setting and website recommended. All the best. The server that brought you the wine tasting was still in training; I hope you can come back another time so that we can let you try different wines, along our oils, and a better experience overall.
