This little gem sits at the top of the hill of the town San Mauro. The owner resides on the property and tends a vegetable garden that provides fresh and seasonal vegetables that are on the menu. When we arrived during lunch time, the restaurant was closed but he opened the kitchen for us and we had an exceptional lunch. We started with an antipasti of the seasonal cooked vegetables. They included a variety of veggies that included regional red onion, picked bell peppers and carrots, some yummy cabbage, with some little pieces of what looked like a frittata and rolled pastry with baked cheese. We both Nate the ravioli with porcini mushrooms and pistachios. The ravioli was cooked to perfection and we both completely cleaned up our plates. We finished the meal with the chocolate fondue cake. We had a wonderful experience nat this restaurant both with the service and with the quality of the food.
