What an incredible experience from a newly awarded Michelin star. Tremendous focus of fresh and eclectic seafood.
Worth a stop if you’re in the area
I did the ten course tasting menu and was very happy. Well prepared and well balanced dishes. Variety of seafood with some meat intermixed at the end. Not solely an Italian style there were several dishes that were Peruvian or Japanese influenced. Wine pairings worked very well.
Staff was nothing short of incredible. I don’t speak the local language and they tried to communicate with me as best they could. It worked well. They were quite attentive. Leveling several 2 stars I have been in.
Soooo Gooood!! Not sure what this truly exceptional restaurant is doing at such a random location. Michelin Guide may say it's "worth a stop", but I'd argue it's clearly worth a detour or even a special trip. The restaurant is located only a 15 minute drive from Milan Malpensa airport, which makes it a perfect stop for a one last great meal in Italy before heading home. I should add that the night before we dined at two-star La Rei Natura, but Acqua was much much better at less than half the price.
