Terms and Conditions of Use

Plateout is an information portal listing Italian food and hospitality venues. These terms govern access to and use of plateout.com (the Portal). By browsing the Portal, you accept them; if you do not, please do not use it.

1. Portal owner

The Portal is owned and operated by Plateform S.r.l., Via Andrea Costa 202/6, 40134 Bologna (BO), Italy, tax and VAT number IT 03953561200, share capital €100,000 fully paid up, email supporto@plateform.app (Plateform). Plateform also develops the booking and marketing platform of the same name; its connection with Plateout is disclosed on the Portal.

2. Definitions

• Portal means plateout.com, including all pages and language versions.
• User means anyone accessing or browsing the Portal.
• Venue means a food and hospitality business with a listing on the Portal.
• Listing means the Portal page for one Venue.
• Venue with online booking means a Venue using Plateform for bookings and having a link to its booking page.
• Third-party content means information, photographs, ratings and reviews from public sources and third-party services.

3. What Plateout is, and is not

The Portal is an information and browsing service. It lets Users search Venues by city or name, view Listings and, for Venues with online booking, reach the page where a table can be booked.

• Browsing is free and needs no registration, account, subscription or private area.
• Plateout does not receive, manage or confirm bookings, collect money or charge commissions.
• Plateout is not an intermediary, agent or representative of Venues and does not provide restaurant services.
• A Venue's presence is free: placements, visibility and prominence in results cannot be purchased.

4. Eligibility and rules of use

The Portal is for people aged fourteen or over. Users under fourteen must use it with a parent or legal guardian. Users must use the Portal lawfully. They may not systematically extract, copy or reuse Portal content or database, including by automated collection tools; use it for resale, their own commercial purposes or rebuilding directories; interfere with operation, overload infrastructure, access non-public areas or bypass security; or submit false, offensive, unlawful or rights-infringing material in forms. Plateform may restrict access for violations.

5. Booking with Venues

5.1 Venues with online booking

Where a Venue uses Plateform, its Listing links to a separate booking page managed through Plateform for that Venue. The booking is made solely between the User and the Venue. Plateout is not a party to it, does not confirm it and is not responsible for availability, performance or quality. Changes, cancellations and any penalties are set by the Venue.

5.2 Venues without online booking

No booking is available through the Portal for other Venues. Where shown, the User may contact the Venue directly by telephone. The relationship remains solely between the User and the Venue.

5.3 No charge to the User

Browsing and links are free. Any amount due for restaurant services is settled directly with the Venue.

6. Source and accuracy of information

Listing information comes from public sources and third-party services, including address validation, maps and business listings, review platforms, machine translation and AI systems used to prepare descriptive text. It is periodically updated but may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Opening hours, prices, contacts, services and operating status are indicative only and are not an offer or commitment by a Venue or Plateform. Automatically generated descriptions are informational only and are not Plateform's opinions, reviews, rankings or recommendations. Please confirm important details directly with the Venue before visiting. Report inaccuracies to info@plateout.com; after review, we will correct or remove substantiated information.

7. Reviews and ratings

Reviews, scores and rating counts come from public third-party platforms, in particular Google and TripAdvisor, and remain attributed to their authors. Plateform does not create, commission, select or edit them and does not verify their truthfulness or the author's experience. Scores are the source's aggregated scores, without a filter excluding negative ratings. Unlawful, defamatory or rights-infringing content may be reported to info@plateout.com. Removal from the Portal does not remove it from the original platform.

8. Venue listings

Listings use publicly accessible information about businesses to help people find somewhere to eat. A Listing does not create a contract, affiliation, sponsorship or partnership. Names, trademarks and other distinctive signs remain with their owners and are shown only to identify the Venue. A Venue owner or manager may request correction, update or removal at info@plateout.com; we may request evidence of their connection to the Venue. We give an initial reply within 72 business hours and complete the request within thirty days. Restaurant-owner calls to action lead to Plateform pages, where Plateform's terms and privacy notice apply.

9. Contacts and reports

Report errors, inconsistencies or malfunctions, or request a Listing's correction or removal, through the Portal form or at info@plateout.com. We respond within 72 business hours. Processing of form data is described in the Portal Privacy Policy.

10. Search-result ranking

Results are ranked by distance from the geographic point searched by the User. Venues using Plateform receive no preferential ranking, and no Venue can buy a better position. A filter shows only Venues meeting the selected condition, including the online-booking filter.

11. Intellectual property

Plateout and Plateform marks, logos, graphics, page organisation, editorial text and database structure belong to Plateform S.r.l. or are used under licence. Third-party content belongs to its authors or licensors. Browsing and sharing links to individual pages are allowed; any other reproduction, translation, adaptation or systematic extraction needs written consent.

12. Third-party links

The Portal links to third-party sites, including booking pages, maps and review platforms. We do not control their content, operation or data processing. Access is at the User's responsibility and under each site's own terms.

13. Availability and limitation of liability

We take reasonable steps to keep the Portal available and information accurate, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free availability. The Portal may be suspended or changed for maintenance, updates or technical reasons. To the extent allowed by law, Plateform is not liable for Venue services, their quality or booking outcome; the accuracy, completeness or currency of third-party content; loss caused by inability to access or use the Portal; or third-party websites. Liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence and consumer rights remain unaffected.

14. Changes

We may amend these terms for legal or functional changes. The version published on this page when you browse applies; continued use after publication constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Italian law. The courts of Bologna have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the User is a consumer, in which case the competent court is that of the consumer's residence or domicile. Consumers may also use the European online dispute-resolution platform.
