I arrived at 7.45 ...... finally given a menu 10 minutes later ... I was the only customer ! I ordered a glass of white wine, which arrived at 8.10. So 25 minutes after arriving, I was the only person there ! I ordered fish, asked for it to be filleted, pan fried. They said local, I'd say 'sea bass', or in Australia, we would call it mullet. All good, happens to be my favourite fish ! Two fillets served, with some leaves. Fish was nice, but it's hard to stuff up pan fried fish ! Have to say though, whilst filleted, it wasn't scaled, Eating the skin wouldn't have been an option .... & although I was careful, still managed to end up with stray scales ! Three real low points : A lone small 'tuna / zucchini' bun arrived with my meal, assumed it should have come out as a complimentary starter ? The touted 'Chef's side dish, based on seasonality' turned out to be 'chips' .... gave me a chuckle ! The price was a shock. OK ... I knew it wasn't going to be cheap, but seriously ?? €90 kg for pan fried Sea Bass / mullet ??? My 2 (unscaled) fillets were €63 .... $ 100 Aussie / $ 50 a fillet !!!!! .... Complete joke ! Needless to say, I won't be returning !
