I had excellent memories of this place from every time I came to Rome. However, I just had one of those experiences where you feel like you’re being blindsided by someone’s bad day — where their anger and negative energy just gets thrown at you. This morning I had breakfast at the bakery and told them I’d be bringing my father in the evening so he could see the wine cellar. Mistake. The moment we walked in with my father, things started off badly, partly because he doesn’t speak Italian and there isn’t much ease in communicating. As soon as I walked into the scene, I could already sense something was off. Then we were told that if we ONLY wanted a glass of wine (in a wine cellar, of all places) we had to sit in a specific section of the restaurant — fine, nothing too unusual about that. But then we were told again that we had to change tables because we were sitting at a table for three instead of two. There were only two other tables occupied in the entire place. When my father looked at me like, “this is the bar you wanted to bring me to?” — I turned to the waiter to ask him to let us stay at the table for three, or we’d leave. He simply told us to go, in a very aggressive tone, consistent with everything that had happened before. Been around enough to know that a place with nice dimly lit bathrooms and waiters who know little about their own wine but sport tattoos and a beard don’t give you the right to treat people however you please.

Really great local wine bar in Rome. Hundreds of wines by the bottle. Small food for sharing. Locals. No English on the menu. Staff are super friendly.
Food was amazing & location was perfect
Ugh what a disappointing experience. Can’t rate the food because it never came. Took 30 min to get wine and the poor manager had to serve us as no one else was paying attention on the floor. Ordered food. Waited 45 min. Never came. Wine was good but truthfully overpriced. Bottle list was exceptional but again, overpriced. So maybe this was an off day but I still wouldn’t come back. Many better, smaller wine bars to go to in Rome. Don’t waste your time here.
Place is nice with nice music . But the service ?? TERRIBLE. It took us forever to order drinks, and to ask for another round of the same drinks…! Another eternity! Not to mention asking for Rose and getting red wine instead! Plus over priced drinks! The highlight was when my friend tried to get the attention of a waiter to get the bill so we can get out of the place, raised his hand and the guy comes up to us and says: “next time don’t snap at me.” Like WHAT?? just RUDE . If you hate your job it is not our fault. Just quit . Embarrassing thing for a place like that
Focacce were fab and the staff are very kind and warm (especially the girl with brown hair and glasses, and the blonde girl at the cashier)
