Villa Giade

Beautiful small boutique hotel in a picturesque location close to restaurants and shopping. ||Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Owners are lovely and staff and the restaurant are excellent. ||Chiavenna is a magical place to stay!

The prices are too high and the amount of food you get with that money is so little. Additionally the food had complex sauce that tasted very bad and over all the cost of it came to 108€ when we ordered 2 plates with a very small amount of food and 3 water bottles

We had the best time. Modern functional and charming rooms combined with excellent food! Seriously, this is the best place in Chiavenna to have dinner and it is worth every penny. The owner and head chef has “Hotel Adlon” credentials and it shows.

We had lunch here today 20/8 on a quick stop to the airport. The lady serving us was so friendly and kind and the food was AMAZING! Seriously gourmet and delicious. We felt so bad as we had no cash for a tip and we were in a huge rush. 100% worth a visit

We had an unforgettable lunch at Villa Giade in Chiavenna. The food was simply amazing – flavors combined in a unique way, opening the door to new taste possibilities that harmonized beautifully and created different layers of flavor with every bite. We were a party of four and tried 10 different dishes – including risotto, fish, lamb, and more – which gave us a great overview of the restaurant’s impressive culinary qualities. The home-made bread was another delightful touch, a detail that most restaurants today no longer offer. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the beautifully decorated dishes made the meal a feast not only for the palate but also for the eyes. The wine suggestions, including some excellent local options, were spot-on for those looking to explore and expand their wine knowledge. I am not a restaurant grader, just someone who enjoys exploring new opportunities and is open to the new when it is combined with tradition. This is not a restaurant for those in a hurry, but for those willing to dedicate the time to truly enjoy the hard work and passion of the chefs – something they express in every dish. The garden felt like a small oasis in the mountainous region of Chiavenna, adding a special charm to an already exceptional afternoon. Highly recommended.
