The food was delicious, we had the vasoio to share (the olive all'ascolana were amazing), and then arrosticini all ovino. I usually don't like mutton, but this was really good, they are fairly small, which I was happy about since the vasoio was quite filling☺️
Simple, not particularly tasty food, small helpings which lacked any form of presentation. Not what I'd call a cheap place and I was surprised that we had to reuse cutlery through the courses. Summary, very basic. Desert was a joke. Delicious, but half the size it should have been and as (we saw) was given to other guests! That's shocking.
Typical and charming trattoria in Ascoli historical quarter, quick, efficient and very friendly service, delicious local wine and excellent pasta, our waiter was a young Tunisian architecture student, so amiable and friendly, absolutely charming, totally recommend this place, faultless 👍🏼
Treated us horribly as customers. Yelled at me for spending more than 5 minutes in the bathroom, then proceeded to give a lecture to us in a very rude way. There is only 1 bathroom (against Italian law), and they were extremely rude and horrible to my elderly grandfather. The food itself wasn't great, but the complete lack of respect for us and the horrible way they talked to us (despite our extreme politeness) was unacceptable. There are no circumstances in which they should be berating an 85 year old man, especially when we did nothing wrong, even looking back 2 weeks later. Horrible experience
Buonasera Elkan, ti rispondo in italiano perché credo ci sia stato un grande malinteso dovuto anche alla difficoltà linguistica. Durante tutta la serata sia io che il mio cameriere siamo stati sempre gentili, disponibili e pazienti verso tutte le vostre richieste, come facciamo abitualmente con ogni cliente. L’equivoco è nato quando sei rimasto chiuso nel bagno per oltre dieci minuti. Alcuni clienti hanno iniziato a bussare alla porta e, sinceramente, la nostra principale preoccupazione era che tu potessi sentirti male. Dopo circa quindici minuti sono arrivato personalmente per assicurarmi che fosse tutto a posto. Successivamente tuo nonno, al momento del conto, ha espresso in modo piuttosto acceso il suo disappunto per la presenza di un solo bagno. Ho cercato di spiegargli con calma che, trattandosi di un locale storico con una licenza di oltre 100 anni, non abbiamo l’obbligo di avere più servizi. Nonostante questo, ospitiamo regolarmente anche gruppi turistici e pullman senza che si siano mai verificati problemi simili. Mi dispiace sinceramente per quanto accaduto e per il disagio che avete percepito, ma respingo l’idea che ci sia stata maleducazione o mancanza di rispetto nei vostri confronti. La nostra intenzione era soltanto assicurarci che stessi bene.
