Very small portions. Super expensive place.
After having lived full time in Italy for more than 9 years this is by far the worst dining experience that we have ever had. I recommend every reader to NOT go here. We were placed at our table at 20.30 and ordered water and wine after 10 minutes. It took until 21.30 before someone’s did put the wine bottle on our table. Walked away to serve several other tables and returned after 10 minutes to open the wine. After second sip it was extremely clear that the wine had unfortunately had been tainted by TCA (trichloroanisole), also known as ‘corked’. This happens now and then and in good restaurants is never a problem. Here they simply refused to listen to us, walked away and only after I asked to speak to the manager someone presented himself as being the manager came to the table. Tasted the wine and simply denied our clear observation. (Must say that after 65 years and some hundreds of bottles every year we do know how corked wines taste). We informed the manager again about our strong dismay, again without any follow up whatsoever and therefore decided to leave. Shouting servants and shouting owner came running after us leaving the other guests behind in great question marks. Owner signaled he would call the police which we told him to please do! And we sat down on a bench to wait. He changed his mind and summoned us s to leave which we kindly did to NEVER return again. We found out that The restaurant and owners have NO PRIDE Nor dignity when we saw our American Express account be charged for costs we never made. What a disappointing and rude waste of our evening and the evening of other guests as well. We wish this nice place heat an owner as soon as possible that does have the typical Italian pride, hospitality and dignity.
Onestamente non so come si possa andare al ristorante per fare "piazzate" del genere. Oltre a non dire il vero sui tempi di attesa e sul trattamento ricevuto, si fa presente che il sommelier è prontamente intervenuto per sostituire il vino da lei contestato, nonostante non vi fosse alcun difetto. A metà cena vi siete alzati, rifiutandovi di pagare il conto. Il motivo per cui non ho chiamato le Forze dell'Ordine è semplicemente perchè avevo la carta di credito a garanzia, sulla quale ho addebitato i costi dei piatti consumati, come lei scrive. Nonostante la vostra pessima figura, come rilevato dai molti tavoli vicini, pretendete anche di dare lezioni. Siamo sempre pronti a riconoscere eventuali errori e, in tal caso, a scusarci, ma certo non siamo disposti a sopportare arroganza, maleducazione e prepotenza. Vergognatevi.
This restaurant has one of the best foods I've had in this region. Absolutely stunning products and taste. Very good wine card too. We will come back for sure!
