We decided to go with la Foresta for our overseas wedding after reading the positive reviews. Initially we expected a large guest count but most of our guests could no longer attend so we had a smaller group instead. We had a call with the venue to discuss some stuff for the wedding about 2 months before the wedding (way before the deadline for the final guest count) and we notified them of our smaller guest count. They scoffed and laughed and were VERY rude about it. We were already sad about having a small wedding but they made us feel worse about it. I ended up crying after the call because I felt so humiliated with how they treated me. They talked to me like I was a child, and kept saying how they weren't sure if they could even host our wedding, how they didn't know what to do, and how they don't know how to help me. But their profile on here says they can host a small wedding though? So maybe they should change that they want a minimum guest count of 50-60 so people with smaller weddings won't waste their time. Anyway, they also told me to write an email explaining the situation and that they would think about whether they would want to even host our wedding. At this point, I was humiliated even more begging for them to accept our wedding event. I told them that I still wanted to have the wedding despite our small group. Eventually they said they would host the wedding but they changed the contract on us which was so shady. They said our initial deposit (2000 euros) was now a fixed fee, meaning it would not apply to the final total. We would have to pay more money to have the wedding hosted, we wouldn't have a buffet appetizer, and we'd sit in the restaurant with the public to have our wedding reception and cake. At that point I decided I no longer wanted to give them more money because they were trying to make money off us because we are foreigners and I already felt horrible with how they treated me and humiliated me. I asked them to consider returning our deposit because the contract said it's up to the discretion of the venue.. guess what. They decided to keep out deposit, came up with excuses and said our cancellation was too close to the event (it was almost two months out and way earlier than the deadline), that the deposit was non refundable (it did not say that), and they said if I booked with them in the future, they'd give me 500 euros off if I spent 2500 euros with them. Wow. It was a nightmare dealing with them. If you're from overseas, please do not work with them. They see you as a money maker and will take advantage of you. There are other venues that genuinely care about their clients (even foreigners) and even if you have a small wedding, they'll make it amazing and won't change the contract on you. I ended up finding another amazing venue with very kind people who work there who gave me the buffet and more and made the wedding perfect despite our very small group.
The restaurant was closing when we arrived and kept it open just for us. I call that "over and beyond" excellent service. The staff was awesome, happy to serve. The food was amazing. I wanted to stay longer. I cannot praise this restaurant more. I highly recommend it and I will be going back.

Excelente place ,.nice atmosphere, great food and service , cost of food a little high for quantity.
The place is huge and beautifully landscaped and furnished. Service was very good, correct and relaxed. The 20€ Merlt was fabulous, as were the roasted porcini, the hand made tagliatele and my wifes beautiful stuffed pasta in tomato sauce. The handmade breads were delicious, especially the focaccia. The chips were devine. What completely spoilt the lunch was the 28€ lamb cutlets, which had little meat and was studded with around 25 splinters of bone, some like sharks teeth but most, smaller and sharper. Most of the meat was not tender or flavoursome. I find it odd that the mushrooms and pastas were crafted so skilfully and yet the meat was butcher by an oaf and cooked by someone that McDonalds would sack. If I was to visit again I would stick to the pasta dishes. We had our wedding reception here, back in 1990 and today was supposed to be a treat, full of happy memories. Unfortunately, all I can recall is having to pick shards of bone out of my mouth
