Can not understand the good ratings - group of 12 people, everyone had partially cold food, waiter mixed dishes and then rearranged dishes after people had started to eat already. Locals were treated much nicer and privileged (although only 50% occupied)

We flew from Australia here special for this restaurant, we’ve booked 1st January dinner 7:30pm and we also received confirmation email. We came to the restaurant at 7:30 and it closed! Not even informed us in advance. We waited till 7:30-8pm no one was there. It was really disappointing.

I am truly sorry for the bad experience you describe and for the disappointment of finding a closed restaurant after such a long trip. However, it is important to clarify that on January 1st our reservation system was closed and it was not possible to make or receive valid bookings for that date, nor did we send confirmation emails for that evening.
For this reason, it seems very likely that there has been a misunderstanding with another restaurant or with the platform you used to book, but not with Ristorante Consolini. I would kindly ask you to check the name and address on your confirmation email and, if you wish, you can write directly to us so we can verify together and help you clarify what happened.

This is the worst food experience I have had in probably 10 years. Leave aside the price, no matter how much it costs - the food is simply terrible. The pasta with sea bass and shrimps on the photo is a crime against any culinary traditions. Inedible. Then add to it the fact that I had to wait downstairs as the host was not there when the restaurant was supposed to open, no one spoke English to take me to my table, and when I finally made it to the floor where the restaurant actually is - I faced an owner’s (or manager’s) family finishing dinner and looking at me in awe. I was offered the worst table in the empty restaurant. Honestly, it cannot be worse. Avoid at all cost. A slice of pizza in any place around the corner will be 10 times better.
Had my birthday dinner here, food was absolutely thrilling, service was careful and attentive, and we had a private grotto to enjoy our meal in. 10/10 would recommend!
