We chose this restaurant for a romantic dinner, and the romantic atmosphere was unfortunately the only highlight of the evening. The restaurant desperately tries to project a Michelin-level fine dining experience, but it simply doesn't deliver. The staff were unable to properly present the dishes, and the food was all style and no substance. The veal carpaccio was overwhelmed by salt and vinegar, completely destroying the delicate flavor of the meat. The stuffed calamari was equally over-salted and bland. The remaining courses were forgettable. The desserts were even worse. A milk-based dessert with vanilla, caramel, and salted caramel sauce was so overloaded with sugar that none of the individual components could be appreciated. Another dessert featuring chocolate and a sweet liquid filling was equally one-dimensional. Rather than refined pastries, they felt like sugar bombs without any real depth of flavor. At €68 per person, the tasting menu is seriously overpriced. Even more surprising, everyone at the table must order the same menu because the kitchen apparently cannot prepare two different tasting menus at the same time. That says a lot. The restaurant has around 20 tables, yet during our visit only five were occupied. If, with such a small number of guests, the kitchen still cannot handle different tasting menus at the same table, it's hard to understand how this place aspires to fine dining standards. In the end, this restaurant is all about appearances and pretension. Save your money. You'll have a far better evening at a good local pizzeria—better food, better value, and a much more satisfying dining experience.

It should have been a promising, unforgettable evening… After the magnificent Vivilo in Corte Franca, certainly no easy feat, but with a Google rating of 4.7 out of 519 reviews, it should be doable. Well, the evening at Radici was unforgettable, unfortunately in a negative way. That they wanted to put guests in a drafty garden tent during pouring rain is forgivable. Also that the ordered Sicilian red wine turned out to be a white wine (the red wasn't available). But the fun really ended with the food. Heavily spiced risotto and bland pea soup preceded the vegetarian main course: three ways with onions. The onion turned out to be a boiled half onion on simply onion puree and onion drops. Don't worry, the meat main course was mediocre at best. Now, I'm a self-confessed dessert lover, but with a hard lemon cake with very, very sour raspberry sorbet and a meringue that was anything but meringue, the fun finally came to an end. When we asked about it, the new co-owner, who was clearly unjustifiably proud, explained that the entire team had been replaced, including the chef. Unfortunately, she showed no understanding for our dissatisfaction. She simply suggested to try the new menu next time we had the chance. As if we'd ever come back here!
Wonderful restaurant! The staff was very nice, polite and offered an excellent service. We had the 5-course with meat and wine pairings. The food was somewhat unique and really good. The wine pairings were very well put together while also being exciting. The dessert (may be the best I’ve ever tasted) was served with a drink with honey whiskey, kombutcha and liquorice that complimented the flavours of the dessert perfectly. 11/10 experience that was finished with chat with the owner wanting to know how we liked everything as they had just reopened the restaurant - really nice guy! Definitely worth the trip!
This restaurant is not worthy of its name. The quality of the food and the service are disastrous. They actually want to present themselves as Michelin-starred cuisine with a lot of style but no substance. It starts with the location. We are in the backyard garden of an old town house in Iseo, which would be very nice in itself. Unfortunately, there is a kind of tent set up here with plastic sheets that are supposed to serve as windows. It doesn't look very inviting. The food itself can be considered a cheap copy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. There are three different five-course menus to choose from: one with meat, one with fish, and one vegetarian menu. The prices are moderate for such elaborate menus (€65) and there is an optional wine pairing with one glass of wine for each course (€38). We had the menu called “Momenti” and the wine pairing. The presentation of the individual courses is intended to give the impression that you are dining in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The decoration and arrangement of the plates is meant to suggest an exclusive gourmet meal. Unfortunately, the quality is anything but gourmet-worthy. The dishes are bland, seem more like ready meals, and lack any of the flavor or authenticity of the otherwise exquisite Italian cuisine. I wouldn't even blame the chefs, as I suspect they could deliver simple, classic Italian dishes of far better quality. Presumably, management is forcing them to serve this type of food, which they are not capable of doing. But the worst thing of all is the service, which in my opinion should almost be banned. There are three women, all barely older than 30, who have absolutely no idea about gastronomy and service. Their unfriendliness would be bearable if it weren't for their complete disinterest and careless attitude towards the guests. Wine bottles are shown at the table but then opened elsewhere. The plates are all carried to the table with both hands and the thumbs reach far into the plates. Any expertise about the wines is lacking. Only the vintage and the producer are read from the label. The sommelier has no relevant knowledge and is also unwilling to answer questions about the wine. The empty glasses are only cleared away when asked, and all courses are served robotically, one after the other. The presentation of the food is also completely passionless. The three ladies on the staff simply recite what they have memorized. We were looking forward to a sophisticated culinary experience and fell completely for the (presumably fake) reviews and the restaurant's deceptive self-presentation. It was a terrible evening, but we managed to keep our spirits up with a lot of humor and tolerance. Avoid this restaurant; go to a simple pizzeria or eat a piadina at a street café instead. Experiences like this are not worth a visit to an Italian restaurant.
One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. I would recommend everyone who is in the area to go to Radici. At the end of the evening, you will walk out stuffed and fulfilled.
Thank you Senna!
We had an excellent dinner - changes according to our taste were not an issue at all. Friendly staff, well trained sommelier with a big heart for Italian wine. I would definitely come again
Thank you!
