Petre nere - pizza & food lounge experience

Good Food, large Pizzas, multilingual friendly staff and fair prices.

Definitely make a reservation. This place is quite new so everyone want to try it out. Their pizzas are definitely the largest we ever saw and eaten. We got small wobbly table for 2. Staff saw us trying to solve it by putting napkins under, but didn't offer any solution and when 2 pizzas well hanging over the plates arrived it was a struggle to fit on table. Pizzas came uncut, with scissors which were blunt and after few tries broke. Luckily the owner was present and offered to seat us at a bigger table where was more space to cut and enjoy our pizzas. The real let down was the passionfruit caipirinha - 10 euro for a cocktail with sirup instead of real ingredients is way too much. In pics you can see how according to their menu it should have looked like and what I actually got.

I really like this restaurant. It is conveniently located near our apartment in the center of town. Their pizzas are HUGE and delicious. The waiters are attentive and on top of their game. Overall we had a great experience.

The service is at the level, fast and friendly. The pizza was excellent and authentic. The restaurant tend to have a high level, and the coperto is the most expensive I paid during my stay in Catania. Which wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't received greasy cutlery. Also, how is it possible that you don't have at least a few traditional menus. An electronic menu with a QR code is cheaper and more modern, but when it happens that the internet does not work well and the battery is running low, it becomes really frustrating. The delicious food and the friendliness of the staff is what I want to praise again at the end.

The Food was really delicious! And the Pizza is huge. Highly recommend.
