Osteria al Borgo - Cucina Lucchese e Griglia

We wanted to get out of the tourist zone and this was it. Not a far walk either. I think it’s important to choose your dish wisely. I absolutely loved mine but didn’t care so much for my husbands and he was the same- loved his but not mine. I had the shrimp ravioli. He had the traditional ravioli. I ordered 2 sides because they were only 5 euro each and expected them to be small. Wrong! They were very generous and too much food for me. It was a come as you are, casual kind of place. Not expensive just good traditional food.

Very cosy restaurant with friendly and smiling stuff. Food is very delicious. Meet is nicely seasoned. I am looking forward to next visit.

What a beautiful restaurant! I visited with my wife and two kids (10 & 7) whilst we were visiting the area on holiday from Scotland. The staff were warm and friendly as soon as we entered and clearly had a genuine love for hospitality. We enjoyed some truly delicious food, highlights being the salmon pasta special and the polpette. My only regret is being too full to try dessert!! My thanks to the wonderful restaurant staff who made us feel so welcome.

Really tasty, hearty food. A bit outside of the city center which was a lovely change of pace. Wonderful staff and delicious food, and very reasonably priced.

Good food with generous portions for a good price. I don’t find the ambiance to be all that appealing to my taste, but it’s a good place to meet friends for a meal.

very helpful and friendly staff, owner especially was so cheerful. Tartar paired with yoghurt was unexpected but very creamy and delicious. Panna cotta bursting with flavours. Heartwarming visit. Grazie!
