Locanda Manduca Via Angioy

Everything excellent! The personnel was a highlight for us, they went out of their way to cater our allergy in gluten. We really appreciated it!

This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in Italy. The bread was okay, and the prosciutto was acceptable, but everything else was a complete disaster. The fried items tasted like cheap frozen food that had been thrown into a fryer and served without any care, flavor, or quality control. Absolutely nothing about this meal felt fresh, authentic, or remotely Italian. It honestly felt as far from real Italian food as you can possibly get. Some of the pizzas were topped with what looked like cut-up sausage and potatoes, which was bizarre enough on its own, but the real problem was the taste. Several of the vegetables were bitter and unpleasant, and some items tasted so bad that I genuinely could not finish them. A few things even seemed old, as if they had been sitting around and were simply reheated or fried again before serving. I can honestly say this was the worst food I ate during my time in Italy, and one of the worst meals I have ever paid for anywhere. It was not just disappointing, it was shockingly bad. To make matters worse, the staff were also very rude and unwelcoming, which turned an already awful meal into a completely miserable experience. There was no warmth, no professionalism, and absolutely no reason to ever come back. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are so many places in Italy where you can eat real, delicious food, so do yourself a favor and stay far away from this one. Huge warning: avoid this place.

Good food and service, but only worth going, when you go in a group. The menue mainly has dishes that are for sharing or for more than one person. Drinks were excellent though.
