Caro Mark, dicono che tutte le strade portino a Roma, ma siamo davvero felici che la sua, anche senza prenotazione, l'abbia portata dritta alla nostra Locanda! Trovare un tavolo al volo e far sentire i nostri ospiti a casa è la nostra specialità. Grazie mille per le cinque stelle, la prossima volta la aspettiamo a braccia aperte (con o senza prenotazione)!

Grazie di cuore per questa splendida recensione! Ci fa un enorme piacere essere considerati un "gioiello nascosto" nel cuore di Roma. Cerchiamo di mantenere un profilo basso, ma quando i nostri ospiti scoprono il cibo ottimo e i prezzi imbattibili, diventa difficile mantenere il segreto! La ringraziamo per aver apprezzato anche l'eccellenza del servizio e la aspettiamo alla Locanda di Bacco per la prossima scoperta culinaria.

The three stars are for the food - which was delicious and clearly well made. Unfortunately my experience was soured by the waiter who, unsolicited, brought up multiple times that I could "tip cash, if I want". I am well aware that tipping is not customary here in Italy. It felt like he was trying to take advantage of the fact that I am a solo female traveler and may give into it just to avoid discomfort. The unnecessary pressure made me unlikely to return in the future.

Gentile Eva, la ringraziamo per aver promosso a pieni voti la nostra cucina, ma le chiediamo sinceramente scusa per l'inopportuno "promemoria" del nostro cameriere. Ha perfettamente ragione: in Italia la mancia è un gesto spontaneo, non una tassa sull'imbarazzo, e l'insistenza è del tutto fuori luogo, a prescindere che un cliente viaggi da solo o in compagnia. Faremo subito un discorso molto chiaro allo staff ricordando che l'unica cosa che devono sollecitare è l'appetito dei nostri ospiti, non il loro portafogli. Speriamo che il ricordo del cibo delizioso superi questo scivolone di stile e che vorrà concederci una seconda possibilità, senza alcuna pressione finale.

We had an amazing time at this wonderful restaurant located a little outside of Rome centre! Besides the amazing food, our waiter (Uccio) made our night even more lovely with his professionalism and friendly hospitality.
If we would have had more time in Rome, we would definitely have come back for seconds :)

My wife and I arrived in Rome and went for a walk from hotel and found this restaurant nearby. It was earlier than most Italians eat but we were hungry and they were open. We were greeted by Nicolo, who went out of his way to make sure we understood the menu and provided us with a very warm welcome and exceptional service. Food was excellent and probably amongst the best we found during our stay in Italy. Nicolo introduced us to the owner at the conclusion of the meal which was also a special moment for us as the place was filling up with other diners.
A volte i fuori programma regalano le sorprese migliori!
Siamo felici che l'appetito "anticipato" vi abbia portato da noi. Nicolò ha un vero talento nel far sentire a casa i nostri ospiti, e sapere che il suo servizio e i nostri piatti hanno lasciato il segno nel vostro viaggio ci riempie di gioia.
Presentarvi il titolare a fine serata è stato il nostro modo per ringraziarvi di aver scelto La Locanda di Bacco.
Un abbraccio grande a lei e a sua moglie, vi aspettiamo per il prossimo soggiorno romano!
