L’Angolo Verde

There are places you go back to every single time you are in a city. L’Angolo Verde in Turin is that place for me, and it comes down to one pizza: fig with burrata. I have eaten this combination in different countries, different cities, different restaurants. Nothing comes close to this one. The dough has that perfect Neapolitan char on the crust, light and airy inside, and the toppings are clearly sourced with intention: prosciutto crudo folded generously, sweet dried figs, fresh burrata that melts into everything, basil, and edible flowers that tell you the kitchen takes presentation as seriously as the food itself. I finished the entire thing and felt nothing but satisfied. No heaviness, no regret. That is the mark of quality ingredients done right. The team there deserves a separate mention. My Italian is, let us say, a work in progress. They were patient, warm, and genuinely gracious about it every single time. That kind of hospitality is not taught in a manual. It is the character of the place. If you are visiting Turin and you eat only one meal, eat it here. Order the fig and burrata pizza. You will not find better.
