Fantastic experience. Lovely helpful service and even lovelier local food!(no offence guys!) Not expensive but fair price and excellent quality both in food and wine. A free concert in the piazza was an added plus but all in all top notch!

Il Cardinale Vino e Cucina was an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was excellent, the wine was superb and the whole place had that perfect Italian mix of warmth, style and authenticity.
The service was friendly, attentive and relaxed, making the evening feel special without ever being over the top. Everything felt thoughtfully done, from the atmosphere to the recommendations, and it was exactly the kind of restaurant you hope to find when visiting Sarzana.
A fantastic meal and a place I would happily recommend to anyone. I would definitely return.

Dinner on a Wednesday night and I must say, we are impressed! The ambience of the restaurant is lovely. It felt like Christmas walking in, heavily decorated in red and green. Matching artwork adorns the walls. Beautiful lighting and felt very comfortable. Service was great. Our server was kind and professional! We tried a variety of tastes on the menu. The egg, the mushroom, and the trout were all exquisite. The food is styled gourmet but still has a home comfort feel. We tried the octopus and pork. Both were cooked perfectly and great flavors. We will definitely eat here again and recommend it to others! We paid over 50 per person in 4 but also had 2 bottles of wine.

Outstanding food! Friendly service, cute atmosphere and very reasonably priced for the quality you get. We loved all of our choices. We paid 80 euros for one starter, two primi and one secundo, water, 2 glasses of wine and desert and we even got a little present from the chef at the beginning. Not a tourist trap at all. We went home with a full belly’s and happy hearts! Thank you for your amazing job!

Upscale but unpretentious.
Perfectly sized delicious meals and lovely staff. I feel that they put a lot of care in their design too :-)

Pretty good food, I think aircon was broken but thats not an issue HOWEVER: buyer beware they have an english menu that is DOUBLE the price of the exact same menu in Italian. For example the pork belly was 10 € but for english it was 22€. It was absolutely not a typo either since they gave us 4 Italian menus and only 1 english which is how we caught the price gouging in the first place. Absolutely do not go if you are not a native Italian.

sia potuto accadere in quanto la carta è unica e bilingue quindi non esistono diversi esemplari.
Anche perché, per le materie prime utilizzate, per il luogo e per il tempo un secondo a 10€ non avrebbe ragione di esistere.
Magari si è trattato di un Suo errore di lettura.. il caldo, talvolta, non aiuta.
Per quanto riguarda l’aria condizionata, in questi giorni di caldo anomalo il nostro apparato rinfrescante combatte una battaglia difficile, ma promettiamo di non arrenderci.
Siamo sempre disponibili a chiarire dubbi e a garantire che ogni ospite, madrelingua o meno, trovi nel Cardinale un’esperienza degna della porpora che portiamo con orgoglio.
La aspettiamo per una prossima visita, sperando in un clima più fresco e in meno malintesi.
