Garden Ristò

The Garden Ristro is a treat. It's another restaurant that's on our must-go list every year that we're in Rome. I do recommend making reservations in advance and it's nice you can do that from the States. If you know you're going to be there, they take reservations online and they'll send you an online confirmation. The food is wonderful. The wine is great. The service is fantastic. Make sure you get a seat outside in the garden because that's the best place to be. Everything on their menu is great, but for dessert have the chocolate tortufo. We always go on Sundays because that's the best day to be on the old stretches of the Via Appia. They are probably a lot of ways to get here, but the easiest way is to get off the Metro at Arco Travertino and take the 660 Circolare bus and then walk the short distance down from the bike shop. Update: late June 2026... This is still an amazing place! And they have made a few menu changes in the last year, as they move toward making everything in house. About directions: They've moved the 660 stop; now stops at San Sebastiano, but that's still really close to the Ristro.

Lovely people, really thankful for their service. They really look out for you. They gave me a free croissant as well! And told me how to pronounce things in Italian. Great vibe, really cozy. Would recommend it as a place to have an easy lunch or dinner.

We enjoy eating here more than any other restaurant in Rome and have brought many friends here, including locals. The setting is calm and tranquil, within a large vivaio. The service is efficient and very friendly. The food is superb, beautifully presented. The whole experience speaks to a great attention to detail and the prices are very reasonable. Hidden Gem!!! We've been in Rome for a week and this is BY FAR the best restaurant we have been to. The service was outstanding and the food was exceptional. Definitely add this to your list!
