We happened upon this restaurant on our travels through to Matera. The owner was absolutely wonderful! The staff were accommodating and the food was authentic fresh and filling! We had the fried calamari the orecchiette special with salmon, and a swordfish dish. All lovely! We found a way to communicate and share stories. This was a memorable stop in our travels through Italy.

We stayed in the town and came across the freshest seafood restaurant called Frishk. We ate there for Lunch, then dinner again on the Saturday and we plan to go back again tonight (Tuesday) for dinner. Must go here freshest seafood we've had so far in Italy and that's saying a lot because we've been all over the south. These are pictures from our lunch and dinner on a Saturday
