This restaurant is amazing- it would deserve a Michelin Star and you get this with a fraction of the cost. If you are a good connaisseur this place is a must try, especially their tasting menu (which in preparation, creativity and execution is sits a level higher than their amazing a la carte items). Everything is extremely well made while keeping a traditional feel. Also the service was above par. They offered for us to taste a couple of different wines they suggested (from a wide list)as they saw us undecided and they did this very happly and accommodatingly I would have give it 6 stars if I could have.

I was with my brother for lunch, everything was exceptional, this restaurant is wonderful and Lello is a great man. The chef puts a lot of love and dedications in his dishes. I live in Scotland but every time I go down to Barletta I go there for lunch or dinner and I always take the tasting menu🇮🇹❤️

American Express recommended us to this restaurant. We were in Barletta only for 2 nights and had dinner there both nights. Delicioso food, amazing and thoughtful service from the whole team. On the second night, they let me sample 3 different kinds of olive oils as they remembered I love olive oil😉. We had set menu first night and a la carte 2nd night. ❤️❤️❤️

Unfortunately, I have to give this restaurant the lowest possible rating, as I've never experienced such unpleasant treatment in a restaurant in my life. Upon entering, we were politely served by a waiter who handed us the menu. Unfortunately, nothing on the menu appealed to us, and the dessert we wanted was unavailable. Therefore, we politely asked for coffee. At that point, something completely unexpected happened. The man, who I believe was the owner of the establishment, began shouting loudly at the waiter that this was "not a bar" and that if we didn't order food, we had to leave immediately. A moment later, he approached our table and, in a very unpleasant, even rude, manner, gesticulating and raising his voice, told us that we could have our coffee "on the other side," and then literally kicked us out. We were utterly shocked. There were other guests in the establishment, so the whole situation was incredibly humiliating and embarrassing. I travel a lot and visit various restaurants, but I've never encountered such a lack of courtesy and respect for guests. I definitely don't recommend this place – not only because of the lack of professionalism, but above all because of the outrageous behavior towards customers.

Amazing food, exquisitely presented. I asked for something off the menu so they inquired and the chef was happy to accommodate us, but then when they explained their business lunch formula we decided to take that. It. Included a glass of wine and water which we drank out of lovely porcelaine cups which kept the water cool. They were obviously proud to show off local ingredients. There was a little « amuse bouche » that wasn’t marked on the menu served with a while basket of fresh bread rolls and home made taralli. The starter was octopus followed by fresh strascinati with courgette flowers etc. As dessert we had a delicious cake with pistachios and fresh fruit accompanied by a plate of the local grapes served on ice. The restaurant was not crowded and had a tastefully discrete, calm vibe. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. It was the prefect last meal of our holiday in Italy. We came out feeling more than satisfied and there were no nasty surprises in the bill. It was more than good value for money. I can only recommend it, the staff and the food. A wonderful find. I came with my husband for lunch on Friday the 19th. September.
