Limited menu but everything is well prepared and delish

We were sceptical about dining here as guests of the hotel after all of the mixed reviews but honestly we had the most delicious meal. The staff were very attentive. Relocated our table when we were placed too close to the loud music for our baby, no fuss (even though we had no reservation). The food was simply excellent, we had the octopus, the gnocchi and the fettuccine, my 4yo had a pizza - all delicious. They have a full gluten free menu too, quite impressive. I would absolutely have eaten here again and am sorry for those that just didn’t have the experience we did, it was excellent.

Skip this place. The attitude from both the hostess and servers was shockingly poor. We felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived and were treated with a lack of basic courtesy throughout our visit. As hotel guests, we’ve had wonderful experiences everywhere else during our stay, which made this interaction even more disappointing. There are plenty of nearby restaurants that understand what hospitality means. We won’t be returning.

Our experience at IT Italian Restaurant near the Rome airport on Friday, June 19, was by far the worst service we encountered during our entire stay in Italy. As guests of the hotel, we have been treated with warmth, kindness, and professionalism everywhere we have visited—except here. We had a reservation for 7:00 PM, when the restaurant opened, and returned at 6:55 PM as part of the first group of guests to be seated. We were placed at one of the very few tables in direct sunlight and politely asked if we could move to one of the many shaded tables that were available. The server went to speak with the hostess and returned to tell us no. When we politely explained that there were at least 10 empty shaded tables, the hostess abruptly told us, “The sun will go away,” and insisted those tables were reserved for other guests. However, when we checked back 30 minutes later—and again an hour later—the majority of those tables were still empty. While we understand that restaurants need to manage reservations, what made this experience unacceptable was the way we were treated. The hostess spoke to us with obvious disrespect, waved her hands in our faces during the conversation, and spoke negatively about us in Italian, assuming we would not understand. The server was equally dismissive, and the overall atmosphere among the staff felt tense and unwelcoming. After reading other reviews, it appears we are not the only guests who have experienced poor service here. There is no excuse for treating paying customers this way. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, and on this occasion, the behavior of both the hostess and server was disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly shameful. We would strongly recommend dining at La Locanda next door instead, where guests are treated with genuine courtesy and respect.

The place was really pleasant and had a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, the waiter was quite rude. He ignored us most of the time, and it took a really long while for him to take our order. It was really hard to get his attention, and overall, the service was just too slow.”

ordered fried shrimp and calamari, calamari was rubbery and sheimp wasnt cleaned, it also didnt include a sauce or anything besides lemons to go with the food
