How PlateOut works

1. What is PlateOut?

PlateOut is a free portal for finding Italian restaurants. Search by city or name, open a listing with hours, address, price range, photos and reviews, and, where available, book directly with the restaurant. No registration or payment is needed.

2. Who is behind PlateOut?

PlateOut is a Plateform S.r.l. project. Plateform develops the platform thousands of Italian restaurants use for bookings and marketing. The portal is open to every venue, including those that do not use Plateform.

3. What is Plateform?

Plateform is the system restaurants use to receive and manage bookings. Bookings go straight to the venue, without intermediaries or per-cover commission. A restaurant using it displays an online-booking button on its PlateOut listing.

4. Do I need to register or pay?

No. Searching, browsing listings and booking are free. There are no accounts, member areas or subscriptions.

5. How do I book a table?

When available, open the venue listing and select “Book a table”. We take you to the restaurant's booking page, where you choose date, time and party size. The booking goes directly to the venue.

6. Can I book every venue?

No. Online booking is available only for restaurants that manage it through Plateform. Other listings show the telephone number and hours so you can call directly.

7. How can I change or cancel a booking?

Contact the restaurant using the number on its listing, or follow the instructions in its confirmation. PlateOut does not receive or manage bookings, so we cannot change or cancel them.

8. Where do information and reviews come from?

Listing information comes from public sources and is periodically updated. Reviews come from Google and TripAdvisor, remain attributed to their authors and are not selected or edited by us. Some descriptions are generated automatically from those sources. Hours, prices and services can change, so please check with the venue before booking.

9. I found an error on a listing. How do I report it?

Write to info@plateout.com, or use the form on the restaurant listing. We will check it and reply within 72 business hours.

Do you run a restaurant?

10. Why is my venue on PlateOut? Who added it?

Listings are built from public information about businesses to help people choose where to eat. Being listed creates no relationship with us and does not require you to join.

11. Does being on PlateOut cost anything?

No. There are no fees or booking commissions, and no one can pay for a higher placement—whether they use Plateform or not.

12. My venue details are wrong. How do I correct them?

Report it from the listing or at info@plateout.com, stating the restaurant name and what needs correcting. We will check it and reply within 72 business hours.

13. How can I receive online bookings from my listing?

The booking button appears when you manage bookings with Plateform. Bookings come directly to you, without per-cover commissions, and your guest data remain yours. Discover Plateform.

14. I do not want to appear on PlateOut. How do I request removal?

Write to info@plateout.com, including the venue name and address. We may ask for evidence of your connection with the business. We reply within 72 business hours.
